AHEC Scholars Interprofessional Case Competition

Welcome to the 1st Annual AHEC Scholars Interprofessional Case Competition! Over the course of the next month, you will work within your teams to address the multidisciplinary needs identified in the case study. Each team will create a video detailing their assessment and joint care plan for the patient identified in the case study. Please see below for more information.

Interprofessional Collaboration

Interprofessional Collaboration occurs when two or more healthcare professionals from different disciplines collaborate to provide patient-centered care and improve health outcomes for patients.

Project Timeline

  • January 19 - Team meeting

  • January 24 - Team announcement, orientation and case study released

  • February 23 - Video Submissions Due

  • February 24 - March 2, 2022 - Judging

  • March 4 - Winners Announced.

Case Study

All teams will evaluate the case study through an interprofessional lens and create a subsequent care plan addressing patient needs.

Video

All teams must create a video detailing their care plan and addressing the prompts in the case study. Remember:

  • Each team member must have a speaking role.

  • Teams are allowed to use animation and video tools (YouTube, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc.).

  • The video can be recorded together or in series.

  • Completed videos should be submitted by sharing to ahecerieniagara@gmail.com
