Erie Niagara AHEC is excited to announce that we are now offering CPR classes! We are partnering with the American Red Cross to deliver Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED/First Aid classes. This valuable, life-saving training takes only a few hours of your time and is a great way to make your home a safer place.

Whether you need to get certified for your workplace or are just looking to be prepared for any situation, Erie Niagara AHEC is here to help! Our blended class format allows you to finish half the course from the comfort of your own home. The in-person portion of the course allows you to refresh what you learned at home and do hands-on skills training. By becoming certified, you will learn the ability to perform CPR and first aid on people of all ages. You will even learn how to use an AED (automated external defibrillator) and how to confidently assess a multitude of emergency situations.

Some examples of skills you will learn are:

- How to safely approach an emergency

- How to perform the Heimlich maneuver on infants, children, and adults

- How to assist someone with an inhaler

- How to properly apply pressure to a wound

- How to change your CPR technique for infants and adults

Our goal is to help give our participants the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to assist someone in need of help, so they can have peace of mind.

Our training is available for individuals as well as groups. Certifications are valid for two years. Moving out of the area? Not a problem! You can get recertified at many locations across the country.
