About the Event

This introductory training explains the benefits of culturally competent care.  The session addresses social and cultural identities, and the barriers that prevent people from working effectively in cross-cultural situations.  Participants will gain an understanding of cultural humility, intersectionality, and how power and privilege dynamics play a role in everyday interactions with patients.  Attendees will learn strategies to implement culturally competent practices.

Training cost:  $25 per person ($10.00 for students)
