Erie Niagara Area Health Education Center (ENAHEC) is a 501(c)(3) health workforce development organization. ENAHEC was formed in September 2003 to serve Erie and Niagara counties and is dedicated to creating a well informed and diverse healthcare workforce. The focus of ENAHEC is to improve health care outcomes of the community by connecting students, academic institutions, healthcare facilities and current healthcare professionals to the communities in need. Through partnerships and collaborations with various agencies, ENAHEC facilitates programs for high school, college and graduate school students, as well as provide continuing education for healthcare professionals. The overarching goals of ENAHEC is to prepare a diverse, culturally competent workforce that is representative of the communities they serve, and to improve workforce distribution within Erie and Niagara Counties particularly among underserved areas and populations.
